OPENING OF NEWLY CONSTRUCTED HOUSE FOR A MILITARY FAMILY

Under the concept of the Colonel of the Regiment Mechanized Infantry Regiment, for constructing five houses for five soldiers for each Mechanized Infantry Battalions, the first newly constructed house in Rasnayakapura, Nikaweratiya for Infantryman Rasnayake RMS (S/826168) 4th Battalion Mechanized Infantry Regiment ceremonially declared open by Major General C D Weerasuriya RWP RSP ndu, Colonel of the Regiment Mechanized Infantry Regiment and Deputy Chief Of Staff Sri Lanka Army on 21 August 2022.

For the construction of the house locally founded materials were heavily used while financial assistance was provided by Mechanized Infantry Regimental Seva Vanitha branch and 4th Battalion Mechanized Infantry.

For this occasion Centre Commandant, Brigadier A M A Abeysinghe RWP RSP USP psc, Commanding Officer 4th Battalion Mechanized Infantry Regiment, Lt Col RASR Ranasinghe USP psc along with other Senior Officers/Staff Officers were participated.
