OFFICIAL VISIT BY THE COLONEL OF THE REGIMENT TO 4TH BATTALION MECHANIZED INFANTRY REGIMENT

Major General A G D N Jayasundera RWP RSP - Colonel of the Regiment, Mechanized Infantry Regiment paid his first official visit to the 4th Battalion Mechanized Infantry Regiment on 15 February 2020.

The Colonel of the Regiment was warmly welcomed by Lieutenant Colonel W G M R Mahawidana RSP MIR - Commanding Officer by presenting a formal Guard Turnout. Brigadier L S Balachandra RSP - Commander, Mechanized Infantry Brigade, Brigadier S J Priyadarshana RWP RSP USP - Centre Commandant, Mechanized Infantry Regiment, Colonel K K S Perakum RWP RSP MIR - Deputy Centre Commandant - Mechanized Infantry Regiment along with Regimental Staff Officers accompanied the visiting Colonel of the Regiment.

Thereafter, Colonel of the Regiment was attended for the Planting of Sapling and Commanding Officer was conducted the formal briefing to visiting Colonel of the Regiment. Further, Troops Address and Camp Visit and tea party were arranged as the main event of the day's itinerary.
