OFFICERS TRAINING DAY - III/2019

The Officers Training Day - III /2019 organized by the Mechanized Infantry Regiment was held on 25 October 2019 at the Regimental Centre with the participation of Senior Officers/Officers under the direction of Major General A M S B Atapattu - Colonel of the Regiment, DG Media, AHQ, Director/Spokesman - Media Centre, MOD and the supervision of Colonel S J Priyadarshana RWP RSP USP, Centre Commandant the Mechanized Infantry Regiment.

Sri Lanka Army Women's Corps officers also participated in the event. Accordingly, 84 x Senior Officers/Officers of Mechanized Infantry Regiment and 76 x Lady Officers/Officers of Sri Lanka Army Women's Corps were participated in the event successfully.

The day's proceeding commenced with morning physical training for all officers followed by foot/sward drills was conducted for Junior Officers. After that, Officers of 3rd Battalion Mechanized Infantry Regiment were conducted a timely worthy presentation on "Difficulties due to Outbreak of Extremism - Role of Sri Lanka Army to Fight with Invisible Enemy". Further, Officers of Sri Lanka Army Women's Corps were conducted a presentation on "Domestic Violence and Future of Women's in Sri Lanka".

At last to mark as a final event the Diners' Club was organized at the Regimental Officers' Mess. In light of the above, in Sri Lanka and internationally reputed scholar and eminent personality Miss Bernadine Jayasinghe - Corporate Trainer, Key Note Speaker, Compere, Lecturer, News Anchor was delivered a most important lecture on "Public Speaking" to enlighten the Officers' knowledge on the subject area.
