OFFICERS TRAINING DAY - II/2023

The Officers Training Day - II/2023 which was organized by the Mechanized Infantry Regiment was held on 21 July 2023 at the Regimental Centre with the participation of Senior Officers/Officers as directed by Major General H M U Herath RWP RSP VSV USP Hdmc psc, the Colonel of the Regiment - MIR, General Officer Commanding 61 infantry Division, under the supervision of Brigadier A M A Abeyasinghe RWP RSP USP psc, the Commandant the Mechanized Infantry Regimental Centre.

The day's proceedings commenced with morning physical training for all officers followed by foot/sword drills was conducted for junior officers. After that Major S M K D Samarasekara SLAGSC Account Officer, Security Force Wanni has conducted a timely important lecture on 'Unit Account and Auditing Procedure' and Major General H M U Herath RWP RSP VSV USP Hdmc psc, the Colonel of the Regiment - MIR, General Officer Commanding 61 infantry Division also conducted a lecture/discussion on Experiences on Innovations and Initiatives against adversaries during war against LTTE.

At last, to mark as a final event the Diners' Club was organized at the Regimental Officers' Mess. In light of the above, Major General R A Nugera (rtd) WWV RWP RSP USP conducted a question and answer session on 'Development of the Military Professional'.
