OFFICERS TRAINING DAY - I/2020

The Officers Training Day - I /2020 organized by the Mechanized Infantry Regiment was held on 25 September 2020 at the Regimental Centre with the participation of Senior Officers/Officers under the direction of Major General A G D N Jayasundera RWP RSP - Colonel of the Regiment/General Officer Commanding of 23 Division and the supervision of Brigadier W M S C K Wanasinghe RSP USP - Centre Commandant the Mechanized Infantry Regiment.

The day's proceedings commenced with morning physical training for all Officers followed by foot/sward drills was conducted for Junior Officers. After that, Officers of 4th Battalion Mechanized Infantry Regiment were conducted a timely worthy presentation on "Role of Sri Lanka Armed Forces for Nation Building and Social Reconciliation".

Further, the book review on “Commanding Officers” was conducted by an Officer from 5th (V) Battalion Mechanized Infantry Regiment.

At last to mark as a final event the Diners' Club was organized at the Regimental Officers' Mess. In light of the above, in Sri Lanka and internationally reputed scholar and eminent personality Mr. Asantha Senevirathna was delivered a most important lecture on "Global Geopolitics after COVID -19; Conflict or Cooperation ?" to enlighten the Officers' knowledge on the subject area.
