NEWLY APPOINTED COLONEL OF THE REGIMENT, MECHANIZED INFANTRY REGIMENT BEGINS OFFICE

Director General General Staff (DGGS) of the Sri Lanka Army, Major General Chandana Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc MA (IR) has assumed duties as the 16th Colonel of the Regiment of Mechanized Infantry Regiment on 15 August 2023 at the Regimental Centre, Mechanized Infantry Regiment - Dambuluhalmillawewa.

The newly appointed Colonel of the Regiment was warmly welcomed upon his arrival by Brigadier A M A Abeysinghe RWP RSP USP psc - Centre Commandant, Mechanized Infantry Regiment along with Regimental Council Members.

He has paid tribute to the fallen war heroes at the war heroes monument prior to commence the formalities. After that, he was greeted by a Parade. Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of Mechanized Infantry Regiment were participated to the event.
