NEWLY APPOINTED COLONEL OF THE REGIMENT, MECHANIZED INFANTRY REGIMENT BEGINS OFFICE

General Officer Commanding of 61 Infantry Division, Major General HMU Herath RWP RSP VSV USP Hdmc psc has assumed duties as the 15th Colonel of the Regement of Mechanized Infantry Regiment on 10 June 2023 at the Regimental Centre, Mechanized Infantry Regiment - Dambuluhalmillawewa.

The newly appoited Colonel of the Regiment was warmly welcomed upon his arrival by Brigadier A M A Abeysinghe RWP RSP USP psc - Centre Commandant, Mechanized Infantry Regiment along with Regimental Council Members.

He has paid tribute to the fallen war heroes at the war heroes monument prior to commence formalities. After that, he was greeted by a Parade. Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of Mechanized Infantry Regiment were participated to the event.
