NEWLY APPOINTED CENTRE COMMANDANT TAKES OVER THE DUTIES

Colonel A K Peiris RSP has taken over the duties as the 12th Centre Commandant of the Mechanized Infantry on 27 November 2023.

Deputy Centre Commandant, Colonel P I Punchihewa warmly received the Senior Offiicer upon his arrival. The military formalities commenced soon after the guard turnout at the entrance.

Subsequently, paid his tribute to fallen war heroes monument followed by the religious activities at Regimental Headquarters temple, planting of a sapling and group photo.

After taking over the duties, the newly appointed Centre Commandant left his signature in an official document signifying the acceptance of his new office.

Further, newly appointed Centre Commandant conducted the troop address and all ranks tea.

Deputy Centre Commandant, Colonel (Admin), Commanding Officers, all staff officers and other ranks of the Regimental Centre also joined the occasion.
