Mrs. Fredrica Atapattu assumed duties as the new President of the Mechanized Infantry Ladies Club and the ceremony was held at the Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regimental Centre Auditorium, Panagoda on 09th September 2018. The new President and senior members of the Ladies Club marked the inauguration of the day's proceedings by Lighting of the traditional oil lamp.
The Vice President Mrs. Manori Jayasundera welcomed the newly appointed President and the gathering.
New President Mrs. Fredrica Atapattu addressed the members of the Ladies Club and made a brief description of the activities she intends to implement during her tenure as the President of Ladies Club. During the inaugural meeting all members extended their best wishes to the new president. Concluding the days event Mrs. Lathika Ushanthi - Secretary Mechanized Infantry Ladies Club delivered the vote of thank.
The Centre Commandant Colonel S J Priyadarshana RWP RSP USP with Senior Officers also participated for the event.
