Mechanized Infantry Officers' family get-together held at the Officers' Mess premises on 29 December 2018. As one more event in the Regiment event calendar the Officers' Family Get-together given pride of place to beloved families of the officers with full of sprit and enthusiasm.
The event was graced by the Colonel of the Regiment Brigadier A M S B Atapattu as the Chief Guest. Commander, Mechanized Infantry Brigade with other Senior Officers, Officers and their beloved families were participated for the event.
The event organized under the close supervision of Overlooking Centre Commandant Lieutenant Colonel K K S Perakum RWP RSP. There were number of entertaining features such as Musical Chair, Hat Passing, Air Rifle shooting, Breaking Tins, Throwing Darts and Fortune Circle etc. Outdoor food stalls and beverage stalls were there to have variety of food and beverage experience.
The fund raising project of Mechanized Infantry Ladies Club, "Viruliya Lottery" drawing also took place with the participation of the Colonel of the Regiment, President and other senior members of the Ladies Club.
During the event newly wedded Officers and their ladies were welcomed to the family of Mechanized Infantry. The Regimental Beat Group, Army 3 piece band and dancing troupe made the session more entertain, excitement and thrill.
