MECHANIZED INFANTRY LADIES CLUB ORGANIZED AN EDUCATIVE LECTURE

The Mechanized Infantry Ladies Club organized an educative lecture on "මුල් ළමා වියේ වැදගත්කම සහ තාරුණ්‍යයේ දරුවන්ගේ ගැටළු" (significance of the Early Childhood and the Issues of the Children at The Transformation to Adolescence).

The lecture and presentation was conducted by the President of the Mechanized Infantry Ladies Club Mrs Shiromi Masakorale on 07 July 2018 at the Officers' Mess, Regimental Centre, Sri Lanka Light Infantry.

The lecture was formulated very constructively and innovatively blended with the experience and expertise of Mrs Shiromi Masakorale since she was one of the Directors of the National Child Protection Authority and the one of the Representatives of the National Early Child Development Committee of the Ministry of Child Affairs in Sri Lanka. During the lecture, it was clearly described how the development of a child is taken place according to his or her age progressively and the issues they are facing once they are transforming from childhood to adolescence.

Most significantly, it was emphasized the impacts occur between the parents and a child during and after this transformation, in which the parents must handle very systematically with care.

The ingredients of the lecture were deeply embedded by all participants and they gathered a wealth of knowledge realizing its' necessity. All participants were highly appreciated the effort made by Mrs Shiromi Masakorale President of the Mechanized Infantry Ladies Club to make them aware on this topic.

Eventually, it was a very successful day for all members of the Ladies Club.
