JUNIOR NAVAL STAFF COURSE VISITED MECHANIZED INFANTRY REGIMENTAL CENTRE

A batch of 20 Student Officers of Junior Naval Staff Course No 23, accompanied by the Directing Staffs of Naval and Maritime Academy made a visit to the Mechanized Infantry Regimental Centre on 24 January 2019 as part of their study excursion.

The Overlooking Centre Commandant, Lieutenant Colonel KKS Perakum RWP RSP welcomed those visiting Student Officers and Officer Instructors to the Mechanized Infantry Regimental Centre.

A presentation was conducted by the General Staff Officer 2, Major Asanka Wimalaweera in order to provide the visiting Student Officers with an overall picture of the role, tasks capabilities and function of the Mechanized Infantry Regiment.

Thereafter, visiting Student Officers witness the display of Infantry Carrying Vehicles and Armoured Personal carriers belongs to the Mechanized Infantry Regiment.

Concluding the visit, Student Officers presented a memento to the Regimental Centre as an appreciative gesture.
