The Mechanized Infantry Regiment Inter Battalion Boxing Championship opening ceremony was held on 05 January 2019 at Mechanized Infantry Regimental Centre. The event was organized under the direction of the Overlooking Centre Commandant Lieutenant Colonel K K S Perakum RWP RSP and the close supervision of Commanding Officer 3 Mechanized Infantry, Lieutenant Colonel D M M Dissanayaka RWP.
Lieutenant Colonel K K S Perakum RWP RSP, Overlooking Centre Commandant graced the brief inaugural ceremony as the Chief Guest. The finals of the competition will be held on 07 January 2019.
The prime objective of this event is to select most suitable and talent players for the Mechanized Infantry Regiment Boxing team and also to sharpen the organizing skills and leadership of Officers and Other Ranks.
