FIRST OFFICIAL VISIT OF THE COLONEL OF THE REGIMENT TO THE 2 MECHANIZED INFANTRY REGIMENT

After assuming the office as the 15th Colonel of the Regiment of the Mechanized Infantry Regiment, General Officer Commanding 61 Infantry Division, Major General H M U Herath RWP RSP VSV USP Hdmc psc made his first official visit to the 2 Mechanized Infantry Regiment and ceremonially declared open the renovated parade ground of 2 Mechanized Infantry Regiment with the participation of the Commander Mechanized Infantry Brigade Brigadier BPGK Balasooriya RSP psc, Commandant Mechanized Infantry Regimental Centre Brigadier A M A Abeysinghe RWP RSP USP psc, Commandant Mechanized Infantry Training Centre Colonel H A A N C Prabath RSP USP on 04 July 2023. Further, with the presence of Lt Col R A S R Ranasinghe USP psc (SO1 A - MIRC), Lt Col W H M C Dharmawansha RSP USP psc (GSO 1 - Mech Inf Bde), Lt Col B A L Balasooriya RSP USP (CO - 2 MIR), and all senior officers/ officers 2 Mechanized Infantry Regiment also attended the event.
