Farewell Ceremony for retiring Brigadier KWS Perera RWP, Mechanized Infantry Regiment was held on 11 and 12 May 2023 at the Regimental Centre, Mechanized Infantry Regiment with the Approval of the Colonel of the Regiment Major General D M K D B Pussella RWP RSP.
The retiring Brigadier KWS Perera RWP Mechanized Infantry Regiment was received by Brigadier A M A Abeyasinghe RWP RSP USP psc - Centre Commandant, Mechanized Infantry Regiment.
The formal military ceremony was commenced soon after the Guard Turnout at the entrance. After that, he paid tribute to the fallen war heroes at the monument followed by attended the ceremonial parade, all ranks tea party and formal dinner night at the Officers' Mess - Dehippawa.
Following day he was offered with salute by all Officers and Other Ranks in a street line to appreciate the dedicated service rendered to the Mechanized Infantry Regiment.
