THE DELEGATION FROM INDIAN ARMY MECHANIZED INFANTRY REGIMENTAL CENTRE VISITED MECHANIZED INFANTRY REGIMENT

The delegation from Indian Army Mechanized Infantry Regimental Centre visited Mechanized Infantry Regiment Dambuluhalmillawewa and Mechanized Infantry Training Centre (MITC) from 18 December 2017 to 24 December 2017. The visiting delegation comprised with Colonel G Suresh, Major Vishwa Jeet Kumar and NB Subedar Kalu Ram. The visit was organized as follow up action of Army to Army Staff talk between Sri Lanka and India. The Centre Commandant, Colonel H M U Herath RWP RSP psc with Staff Officers of the Regimental Centre warmly received the visiting delegation.

The delegation paid courtesy call on the Centre Commandant at the Commandant\'s office and discussed on further enhancement of military training cooperation between both organizations.

The separate briefing on Mechanized Infantry Regiment was arranged for the delegation at the Conference hall. As per the itinerary of the visit delegation visited Mechanized Infantry Training Centre. The delegation was warmly welcomed by the Commandant - MITC, Lt Col G P P Kulatilaka and had formal discussion at his office.

The presentations were conducted by the delegation and MITC to discuss training methodologies of both countries. Apart from the official visit, the delegation visited interesting places around Dambulla and Jaffna area. Concluding the visit, delegation arrived to the Mechanized Infantry Regimental Centre. The Centre Commandant and Staff Officers of the Regimental Centre organized interaction session with special Dinner for the delegation. The Centre Commandant gives away the plaque to the visiting delegation to mark the first official visit by the delegation of Indian Army Mechanized Infantry Regiment.
