THE COMMANDING OFFICER - 3 MECHANIZED INFANTRY BATTALION TAKES HIS OFFICE

Major HMJP Heenkenda USP psc assumed duties as the 10th Commanding Officer of 3rd Battalion the Mechanized Infantry Regiment on 05.06.2023.followed by a formal military ceremony. The military formalities commenced soon after the Guard Turnout and the newly appointed Commanding Officer was subsequently accorded with a ceremonial parade presented by the troops of 3MIR. The senior officer formally took over duties with the blessings of the Triple Gem.
