Colonel MMWG Raminda RSP officially assumed duties as the 12th Centre Commandant of the Mechanized Infantry Regimental Centre on 24 June 2025, during a dignified and traditional military ceremony held at the Regimental Centre.
Upon his arrival, he was warmly received with a Guard Turnout, after which he paid a floral tribute to the fallen war heroes at the monument, honouring their supreme sacrifice. A military parade was then presented in his honour.
As part of the ceremonial proceedings, Colonel MMWG Raminda RSP planted a sapling to mark the significance of his appointment, symbolizing growth, commitment, and continuity.
Following religious observances, he officially assumed responsibilities by signing the formal documents, signifying his acceptance of duties as Centre Commandant.
The event was attended by Council Members, Commanding Officers, and Staff Officers of the Regimental Centre, who extended their best wishes to the newly appointed Commandant.
