Maj KAKS Kodituwakku USP assumed duties as the 8th Commanding Officer of the 5 (V) MIR on 08th March 2023. The event followed by a formal military ceremony. The military formalities commenced soon after the Guard Turnout at the Main Entrance. The new Commanding Officer formally took over the duties amidst the blessings of Triple Gem and the event was culminated followed by a Planting of a Sapling, Troop Address, All rank Tea party and a Camp Visit.
