Brigadier A M A Abeysinghe RWP RSP USP psc assumed duties as the 10th Centre Commandant of the Mechanized Infantry Regimental Centre on 02 May 2022 during a formal military ceremony.
Upon his arrival to the Regimental Centre, he was greeted with a guard turn out and paid floral tribute to the fallen war heroes. Afterwards, he was invited for a planting a sapling to mark his taking over the duties. Followed by appearing for a group photograph and addressed the Officers and Other Ranks of the Regimental Centre.
Symbolizing of his formal acceptance of the new office, he left his signature in a formal document after religious observances. Colonel H A A N C Prabhath RSP USP - Deputy Centre Commandant along with Staff Officers were associated with the occasion.
