APPRECIATION OF COMMENDABLE ACCOMPLISHMENT IN SPORTS BY COLONEL OF THE REGIMENT

The appreciation and awarding of certificates for commendable achievements in sports by Officers and Other Ranks of the Mechanized Infantry Regiment was held on 25 March 2022 at the Regimental Centre.

The event was organized appreciate Officers and Other Ranks of Inter -Regiment Boxing Meet 2021 for Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals, Inter-Regiment Firing Meet 2021 for Army Comd’s Medal Winners & Rank Awarders, Inter -Regiment Weight Lifting Meet 2021 for Gold Medal of 89 Kg Weight Category, Inter -Regiment PATS Completion 2021 for the Best Officer of the Year, National Rowing Competition (Novices) 2022 for Pair - 1st Place & 2nd Place, Coxed Four - 1st Place & 2nd Place.

Finally, Colonel of the Regiment conveyed his best compliments for their future in the fields of sports. Centre Commandant, Brigadier W M S C K Wanasinghe RSP USP and council members were present at the occasion.
