The 15th Annual General Meeting of the Seva Vanitha Branch Mechanized Infantry regiment was held at the Dehippawa, Officers Mess, Mechanized Infantry Regiment on 25th March 2023. The newly appointed President of Seva Vanitha Branch Mechanized Infantry Regiment Mrs. Himali Pusella was warmly welcomed by Mrs. Dulka Herath (Vice President) and other Senior Executive Members. The event was ceremonially commenced with the lightening of traditional oil lamp. President of Seva Vanitha Branch Mrs Himali Pusella welcomed all members to the day's event.
As a customary, Mrs. Himali Pusella was appointed as the president of the Seva Vanitha Branch for year 2023 while Mrs Dulka Herath as the vice president, Mrs. Swarnamali Ekanayaka as the Secretary and all the lady wives of the present Commanding Officers appointed as project Officers.
In order to encourage the soldiers who are facing with economical difficulties to educate their children, a total number of 48 children were gifted with essential school accessories inline with the Annual General Meeting.
During the session a fruitful and enthusiastic Culinary Demonstration was conducted by Mr.Nalinda Abeyrathne Executive Cheif, and his crew from Heritance Kandalama Hotel.
Summing up the meeting the Secretary, Mrs. Swarnamali Ekanayaka thanked all the members of the Seva Vanitha Branch for their keen interest and valuable contribution towards the Regimental activities.
The day's proceedings terminated with the lunch at Dehippawa Officers Mess Mechanized Infantry Regiment.
