LT COL C D B DISSANAYAKA RSP USP SLA ASSUMED DUTIES AS THE COMMANDING OFFICER OF 8TH MEDIUM REGIMENT

Lt Col C D B Dissanayaka RSP USP SLA assumed duties as the 18th Commanding Officer of the 8th Medium Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery on 17 February 2024 at the Headquarters of 8th Medium Regiment, Muthiyankaddukulam.

The program for assuming duties commenced with reviewing the Guard turnout. Lt Col C D B Dissanayaka RSP USP SLA placed his signature on a formal document after a brief religious observance as a symbolic gesture of taking over the command. The day’s events included planting a sapling, a troop address, and a camp visit.
