Major General WASS Wanasinghe RSP USP ndu assumed duties as the 50th the Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force

Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Artillery Major General WASS Wanasinghe RSP USP ndu assumed duties as the 50th Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force on 22 December 2022 at the Volunteer Force Headquarters premises Kosgama.

Major General WASS Wanasinghe RSP USP ndu was welcomed with a guard turnout and guard of honour by the SLAVF troops. Then, he signed a formal document amidst the blessings of priests. Subsequently, the incumbent Commandant planted a sapling to signify his inauguration of the office, followed by an All Rank Tea with Officers and Other Ranks in the SLAVF. The day’s proceedings were concluded after a troop address.
