Assuming of duties as the Centre Commandant- Regiment of Artillery

Brigadier HGPM Kariyawasam RSP psc IG assumed duties as the 26th Centre Commandant of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery on 18th January 2021 at the Regimental Headquarters, Panagoda.

The day’s proceedings were commenced with the Guard turnout accorded to the incoming Centre Commandant at the main entrance to the Regimental Headquarters. Subsequently, the new Centre Commandant was welcomed by the Staff Officers of the RHQ SLA and attended for religious activities before inaugurate the office. As chanting of Seth pirith was on, the new Centre Commandant left his signature in a formal document to mark the official acceptance of the new office.
