Lt Col LWB Ridimahaliyadda USP IG SLA assumed office as the 13^th Commanding Officer of 5^th(V) Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery on 09 August 2019 at Headquarters 5^th (V) Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery, Kanthale.

Programme for assuming duties commenced with reviewing the Guard Turnout presented by the Unit. Then as a symbolic gesture of taking over the command, Lt Col LWB Ridimahaliyadda USP IG SLA placed his signature for a formal document after a brief religious observance.
