1th Regt SLA organized a New Year Festival at CHENKALADY Central College ground on 17 April 2016 with help of CHENKALADY merchant Association.
The ceremony coloured by traditional game such as Bicycle race, Pot cracking, Pillow fighting,gunny bag races, eye-placing on the elephant, grease pole climbing, fancy dresses, selection of New Year princess, Tug of war etc.
Winner of the New Year games were awarded with gift packs and given away to civil participant.
Lt Col GJNW Fernando USP psc IG - CO 11 SLA, Maj KMCS Weerasinghe psc - 2IC 11 SLA, Offrs and other ranks attended the event.
