As per the concept of Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva, Sri Lanka Army Officers\' Marathon was successfully held on 6th March 2016 with the participation of around 500 officers in the ranks of 2/Lieutenants, Lieutenants, Captains, Majors, Lieutenant Colonels, Colonels and Brigadiers.
20 officers represented the Regiment of Artillery in the event and Brigadier Channa Kodithuwakku again proved himself as a remarkable athlete by bagging the third place in Brigadier category.
