Brigadier Y R M P Wijekoon (Rtd) VSV made a visit to the Regiment of Artillery premises, Panagoda.
Brigadier Y R M P Wijekoon (Rtd) VSV who served as the 6th Commanding Officer of 4th Field Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery, visited RHQ, SLA on 1st December 2015.
He was warmly received by the Colonel Commandant of Regiment of Artillery, Major General M Hathurusinghe RSP ndc IG at the Artillery Officers\' Mess, along with the Center Commandant, Commander Artillery Brigade, Deputy Center Commandant and other Officers of the Regiment.
Apart from the serving Artillery Officers, past great Gunner Officers were also there to welcome the guest including former Commander of the Army, General C S Weerasooriya RWP RSP VSV USP.
It was organized a felicitation lunch to pay the Regimental attribute on his visit and the function was concluded with paying his obeisance to the fallen heroes of the tribe who made supreme sacrifice to the motherland by laying a floral wreath at the Regiment Monument.
