Center Commandant of the Regimental of Artillery hoisted the national flag and gave the Public Service Pledge customarily commencing the duties for the new year, on 1 January 2014 at the Regimental Center Panagoda before smartly dressed officers and other ranks. Center Commandant read out the New Year Messages of the Commander of the Army and the Colonel Commandant to the troops on parade. Center Commandant also awarded trophies, medals and certificates to Artillery boxers and weight lifters who have excelled at National Meets.
