Post Depot Training Course FD 198 which commenced on 14 September 2013 saw its conclusion on 28 December 2013 in an exquisite parade held at the School of Artillery Minneriya. 104 recruits who received basic training in gunnery during the course wore the hallowed Artillery cap badge for the first time. Lt Col BGS Fernando psc SLA, Commanding Officer of 14th Rocket Regiment SLA graced the occasion as the chief guest. The award for most outstanding gunner in the course was won by S/163779 Gunner Galagodagedara GGDI of 14th Rocket Regiment SLA. The Regiment of Artillery welcomes all the new Gunners in to the Gunner Family and congratulates the award winners.
