7 SLA won the Inter Unit Combat Shooting Championship 2014 of Sri Lanka Artillery held at Army Firing Range - Diyatalawa from 12 February 2014 to 15 February 2014. 16 SLA emerged as the runners-up. Major General JC Rambukpotha RSP USP ndc psc IG, Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Artillery graced the Prize Awarding Ceremony held at Army Firing Range Diyatalawa on 15 February 2014, as the Chief Guest. Having scored 218 marks S/158531 Bombardier Sanjeewa GAN of 14 SLA was awarded the trophy for the Best Shot of the Sri Lanka Artillery in 2014. Commander Artillery Brigade, Commander 112 Brigade, Commandant MSTS and several other senior officers of the Regiment of Artillery were present at the ceremony.
