Visit of General Li Zuocheng PLA to Regimental Centre Artillery
General Li Zuocheng, Commander of Chengdu Military Area of People’s Liberation Army (PLA), China accompanied by senior officers of PLA visited Sri Lanka Artillery Regimental Center, Panagoda on 15 Oct 2015 with the aim of stiffen the friendship between PLA and the Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery.
The delegation was warmly received by Major General M Hathurusinghe RSP ndc IG, the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Artillery along with Brigadier NLK Samarasinghe IG, The Commander Artillery Brigade and other senior Gunner Officers present.
Head of the Delegation laid a floral wreath at the Regimental Monument paying obeisance to the fallen heroes of the Regiment. A Presentation on Sri Lanka Artillery, Equipment Display at 6 SLA Parade ground and tea at Officers’ Mess featured in the Programme for the brief visit.
Symbolic mementos were exchange between Head of Visiting Delegation and Col Comdt to mark the visit and made acquaintance between the PLA and Sri Lanka Artillery.
