As a part of 126th Anniversary celebrations annual pirith chanting was held on 20 April 2014 at the Other Rank Mess 4th Field Regiment. Hundreds of family members of fallen heroes, officers and men clad in white listened to pirith till next morning. Alms giving to Maha Sanga took place in the next morning.
