Gunner Cricketer to Take Part in T-20 Tour in India
Two cricketers of the Army Cricket Team have been called in for the Sri Lanka National Squad for the T-20 tour to India, which is scheduled during Feb 06-16.
Bombardier Asela Gunarathne of 6th Sri Lanka Artillery together with Warrant Officer II Sekkuge Prasanna of 3rd Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps (SLAOC) are the Army players selected for the squad.
Bombardier Gunarathne had already been in for Sri Lanka’s ‘A’ squad many a time and is set to make his T-20 debut in this tour, becoming the third Army cricketer, i.e. after Ajantha Mendis and Sekkuge Prasanna, to represent Sri Lanka.
