Assuming duties as the Commandant School of Artillery

Lieutenant Colonel CAB Tennakoon RSP psc IG SLA assumed duties as the 28^th Commandant of the School of Artillery, Minneriya on 17 October 2019.

The day’s ceremony started with reviewing the guard turn out presented to the incoming Commandant by the School of Artillery. Subsequently, the New Commandant arrived at his office and was received by the Gunner Officers at the Artillery Complex, Minneriya, and made floral offerings to the Buddha before he lit the traditional oil lamp to inaugurate his office. As chanting of ‘Seth Pirith’ was on, the New Commandant left his signature in a formal document to mark the official acceptance of the new office. The day’s proceedings included the official address of all officers and other ranks at the Artillery Complex, planting of a mango sapling, all ranks tea party and concluded after the Officers Get Together organized by the gunner Officers stationed in Minneriya.
