The Inter Regiment Athletic Championship 2016 of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force concluded at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Stadium, Diyagama on 14 July 2016.
Lieutenant General Chrishanthe De Silva graced the occasion as the chief guest where competed by over 1000 athletes of the SLAVF, belonging to more than 100 island wide volunteer battalions.
Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers won the championship while Sri Lanka Light Infantry became the runners-up. Meanwhile Sri Lanka Artillery secured the third place.
Colonel Commandant and all members of the regiment congratulate to the Gunner athletes on their outstanding accomplishment.
