9th Field Regiment celebrates the 19th Anniversary
9th Field Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery has celebrated its 19th Anniversary on 23rd January 2016. Series of events took place prior to the regiment day which included flag blessing in Sri Maha Bodiya followed by the bodi poojawa in Thalawa camp premises, Monument parade remembering the war heroes who lost their lives during the war, Bombardiers Club and WOs’ & Sgts’ mess party. Commanding officer reviewed the Guard Turnout and Regimental Day Parade marking the anniversary day giving priority to the custom and traditions of the Regiment. All Rank Lunch and Officers Get Together featured in the days programme. The Commanding Officer Lt Col WWK Rohan RSP SLA together with all members of 9 SLA endeavoured to make the event a success.
