The 15 th Medium Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery was raised on 29 August 2008 at Thalawa Anuradhapura. The youngest Regiment on the classic role, 15th Field Regiment was initially equipped with 122mm guns and supported infantry troops during Elam war 3.
