ARMY WAR COLLEGE INDUCTS A NEW MEMBER TO THE DIRECTING STAFF

The Army War College, Buttala formally inducted a newly posted Senior Officer to its Directing Staff following the successful completion of a teaching practice session assessed at a panel headed by the Chief Instructor of the College.

Upon qualification, Major General DKRN Silva RSP USP psc, Commandant of the Army War College, presented the Army War College badge to Lt Col MKDPPK Kankanige RWP RSP USP psc SLSR, during an official function held at the Commandant’s Office on 2 June 2026.

The appointment reinforces the Directing Staff of the College as it continues to deliver professional military education to Junior, Middle-grade and Senior Officers of the Sri Lanka Army, Sister Services and Allied Forces.
