AWC DRAWN THE SECOND HASH RUN 2024 TO THE END

The second ‘Hash Run’ of event calendar 2024 of the Army War College (AWC) was successfully held on 29 June 2024. The event aimed to enhance the physical strength blended with the camaraderie and companionship of the Student Officers of Senior Command Course 11, Junior Command Course 30 and Junior Staff Course 26.

The event commenced with the sign of lowering the checkered flag by Brigedier MWARC Wijesooriya RSP USP ndc, the Deputy Commandant of Army War College and graced the occasion as the Chief Guest representing the Commandant AWC, Major General Dinesh Udugama RWP RSP USP ndc psc who was away from the college due to another official commitment.

Deputy Commandant also participated in the run together with Chief Instructor (Overlooking), all faculty members and the permanent staff. The ‘Hash Run’ encircled around 07 Km run and walk along the village bound track amidst the scenic environment of Buttala and the energetic participants were provided with refreshments on their way.

After the completion of the run, all the Officers had an enjoyable interactive session to release the stress by breaking the wearisomeness of the nervous nature of the learning atmosphere at the AWC.
