NEW CHIEF INSTRUCTOR TOOK OVER DUTIES

Colonel MDSN Karunarathne psc assumed duties as the Chief Instructor of Army War College on 11 October 2023 following a sequence of events as the third Chief Instructor after the elevation of Officer Career Development Centre to Army War College. A simple ceremony of religious observances was held to obtain blessings before symbolically taking up the appointment and the new Chief Instructor placed his signature on an official document symbolising the formal acceptance of the office at the auspicious time.

Following the set programme on 18 October 2023 and proceeding with the formalities, the Chief Instructor addressed the gathering of all student officers of the existing courses. Senior Instructors and the faculty members also associated.
