ARMY WAR COLLEGE IS READY TO HOLD SYMPOSIUM 2022

A two-day Symposium on ‘Civil-military Relation and Military Professionalism’ in the form of a ‘Webinar’ presented by Army War College (AWC), Buttala is set on 15 and 16 December 2022. The annual symposium could not be held for two years due to challenges posed by COVID 19 pandemic. This year, the War College resumes the tradition by conducting this symposium for incumbent battalion commanders of the Army and ten officers from Sri Lanka Navy, Sri Lanka Air Force and Special Tasks Force too will participate the webinar.

The symposium will be conducted in five sessions with the keynote address delivered by Maj Gen SUMN Manage WWV RWP RSP psc, DGGS Sri Lanka Army. The sessions will be chaired by eminent scholars and senior military officers. Prof Maneesha S. Wanasinghe Pasqual and Maj Gen SUMN Manage WWV RWP RSP psc will chair the first two sessions on day one. Maj Gen KADA Karunasekara (retd) RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc, Maj Gen EADP Edirisinghe psc and Brig YABM Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc will chair the sessions on the 2nd day. The speakers includes renowned academics and senior military officers.
