ARMY WAR COLLEGE BIDS FAREWELL TO THE OUTGOING COMMANDANT

Major General UUKLS Perera RWP RSP USP psc, the Commandant Army War College officially handed over duties on 14 July 2022 prior to his retirement from Sri Lanka Army, after rendering 34 years of unblemished, devoted and an exemplary service to the nation and the army. In his farewell speech, the Commandant conveyed his heartfelt gratitude for all Officers and Other Ranks for the support extended during his tenure at the College. The Staff of Army War College organised a charm farewell gathering to pay tribute to the outgoing Commandant.

The day turned a special date in Army War College calendar, as the maiden magazine of Army War College, ‘Wisdom 2021’ was also officially launched by the Commandant as an E-version.

‘Wisdom’ is a platform which exhibits College functions and gives an insight to the achievements and the progress of the College. The magazine visualises the memories of the academic year 2021 and highlights the accomplishments of the student officers. While addressing the audience, the commandant appreciated the commitment of the editorial board and similarly, he made it an opportunity to address the student officers of Senior Command Course 5, Junior Command Course 24 and Junior Staff Course 22 as well.
