JUNIORS DOMINATES THE SENIORS

The Junior Command Course 24 dominated the second Cricket Tournament of Army War College held on 28 May 2022. Team C of Junior Command Course captained by Major Gayan Kaburugamuwa became the champions of the tournament and team B of Junior Command Course 24 led by Major Tharinda Adhikari became the runners up.

Major Nuwan Aberathna became the Best Bowler taking 4 wickets in this tournament. Scoring 97 runs in 3 innings, Major Thilina Wijayantha from the winning team was awarded with the Best Batsman trophy and, he became the Man of the Series as well.

The Commandant Army War College, Major General Laksiri Perera RWP RSP USP psc graced the finals as the Chief Guest. A total of 10 teams representing the Senior Command Course 5, Junior Command Course 24, Junior Staff Course 22 and the Permanent Staff participated in the tournament
