According to a great aspiration of the Commander of the Army Lieutenant General LHSC Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc and under the supervision of the overlooking Commandant, Brigadier G M N Perera RWP RSP USP, the Officer Career Development Centre commenced the Tailor Made Junior Command Course 1/2020 on 30 November 2020 with the utmost intension of educating Other Rank Commissioned Officers on basic staff and command aspects with the view of moulding officers to hold responsibilities in grade 2 level appointments. The course comprises of 10 student officers in the rank of Major.
At the initial course briefing, Lt Col HADW Hettiarachchi USP psc SLSC, the Directing Staff of Tailor Made JCC 1/2020 warmly welcomed the student officers and underlined the necessity of following the course in order to be successful in military career. During the opening remarks, Colonel TCMGST Cooray RWP RSP USP psc, the Chief Instructor of the OCDC addressed the student officers while emphasising the value of completing this course. He exclusively stressed upon the significance of discipline, integrity, and loyalty in military life and encouraged all Student Officers to complete the particular course courteously while adhering to the health precautionary measures of COVID 19 imposed by the institute. .
The Commanding Officer – Admin Wing also passed down necessary administrative instructions for the student officers.
