THE UK’S DEFENCE ADVISER VISITS ARMY WAR COLLEGE

Colonel Paul Clayton MBE of the British Army, Defense Adviser of the British High Commission, Colombo paid a courtesy visit to Army War College, Buttala on 13 October 2022. Colonel Clayton was warmly welcomed by the Deputy Commandant and the Chief Instructor. Then, the DA met the Commandant, Brigadier YABM Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, at the Commandant’s office accompanied by the Senior Officers of the College where the DA was presented a plaque by the Commandant to mark the visit.

Thereafter, Colonel Clayton was briefed about the functions of Army War College, specially related to training matters, and he discussed about the possibility of providing training related assistance.

After the briefing, the DA visited the Main Auditorium, Library, Defense Studies Branch and the Model Room. After that, he had a short interactive session with the other officers of the War College at the Officers’ Mess before the lunch.
