PAKISTAN DEFENCE ADVISOR IS ON A VISIT TO AWC

The Defence Advisor to the Pakistan High Commission in Colombo, Colonel Mohammed Safdar Khan, made a visit to Army War College, Buttala on Tuesday (25).

Brigadier Manada Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, the Commandant, Army War College, warmly welcomed the visiting Defence Advisor at Headquarters premises of AWC.

During the cordial meeting, they exchanged thoughts about Middle grade officers training programmes of both the Armies of Sri Lanka and Pakistan. Further, they shared ideas on broader understanding among different corresponding pertaining to the military education and career development of military personnel.

The envoy assured the Commandant of his fullest support for the training programmes of AWC in consultation with his superiors in Pakistan in the future.

During his stay at AWC, the Defence Advisor visited the Defence Studies Branch and made a discussion with the Chief Instructor, Senior Instructors and other Senior Officers and shared his thoughts and view on training proceedings and disciplines of military studies.

The Commandant presented a memento to the visiting Defence Advisor to mark his visit to the AWC. Before leaving, he signed the Visitors’ Book and inscribed his comments and wishes.
