OPENING OF NEWLY CONSTRUCTED CI’S CHALET

Fulfilling a longstanding need of the Army War College (AWC); the Chief Instructor’s Chalet, constructed in keeping with ongoing development plan of AWC, was declared open at the auspicious time 0945 hrs on 07 October 2022 by the Commandant Army War College, Brigadier YABM Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc. Soon after the opening, the Commandant also planted a sapling of ‘Jackfruit’ in the garden of the Chalet to make it an occasion to remember.

The construction was done amidst challenges, by the Garrison Engineer Buttala who reused left over construction materiel such as tile off cuts, old window panes to complete the project.
