JUNIOR COMMAND COURSE DOMINATES AWC CRICKET

The Junior Command Course 23 dominated the Army War College Cricket Tournament of the 1st Trimester of 2022 held on 29 January 2022. Team B of Junior Command Course 23 Captained by Major Danushka Edirisinghe became the champions of the tournament and team A of Junior Command Course 23 led by Major Priyankara Silva became the runners up.

Major Danushka Edirisinghe became the Best Bowler in this competitive encounter and Major Indika Rodrigo from the Permanent Staff team was awarded with the Best Batsman trophy of the series. Scoring 160 runs and taking 3 wickets, Major Deepal Wijesinghe became the Man of the Series.

The Commandant of AWC Major General UUKLS Perera RWP RSP USP psc graced the finals and the awarding ceremony as the Chief Guest. A total of 8 teams representing the Senior Command Course 4, Junior Command Course 23 and the Permanent Staff of AWC participated in the event.
